About Us
The ”Shiga Environment Business Promotion Network” is a network aiming at the development of new business projects through industrial-governmental-academic collaboration.
It was established in March 2013 to develop water environment business by utilizing the research results accumulated so far by companies, research institutes, universities, and the activities conducted for the conservation of water environment around Lake Biwa.
This network provides the latest trend of water environment business and the information on the activities conducted by the leading companies and on various support measures. It is operated to become the base to create new business projects to find partners and to form teams for the collaborative development.

Purposes
- To promote the development of water environment business by utilizing (1) the research results accumulated by companies, research institutes and universities and (2) the activities done for the water environment； and
- To contribute to the solution of the problems on the conservation of the water environment inside and outside the country.
Activities
- To organize and publicize the activities for the environment conservation around Lake Biwa and the data of members；
- To provide information through seminars and company tours and to promote the exchange among members；
- To collect and provide information on water environment business and on supporting measures for it；
- To form the teams for business development and to support business matching；
- To support for accepting of trainees and missions from foreign countries； and
- To conduct other the duties to achieve the purposes of the forum.
Members
This forum consists of comapnies who agree to the purposes of the forum and conduct water environment business or who has the intention to start the water environment business, and organizations to support and cooperate with them.
